Senior Web Developer

Fully remote (must be UK based)

Candour Solutions is collaborating with a prominent digital agency that excels in the e-commerce sector, partnering with numerous well-known brands throughout Europe. As they expand their development team, you will play a crucial role in a greenfield initiative for one of their key clients.

Key Qualifications:


• At least 5 years of practical experience with diverse WordPress projects, including brochure sites, e-commerce platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and Multisites.


• Proficient in HTML, PHP, and CSS.


• Strong expertise in Javascript, ES6, and React.


• Skilled in developing and troubleshooting custom Gutenberg blocks.


• Extensive experience with WooCommerce setup, configuration, and advanced problem-solving.


• Minimum of 3 years in an agency setting, capable of managing multiple clients and projects while demonstrating a solid understanding of web development agency objectives.


• Experience in API development and integration.

Preferred Skills:


• Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences.


• Expertise in translating business requirements into comprehensive technical plans, including scoping, validating, and organizing project milestones.


• Experience with large-scale enterprise development and deployment.


• Knowledge of Progressive Web Application (PWA) development.


• Proficiency in integrating digital marketing and analytics tools (e.g., GA4, performance metrics).

Responsibilities:


• Overseeing the development and implementation of WordPress and WooCommerce projects.


• Collaborating closely with Client Success Managers and clients to define project scope and provide accurate task estimates.


• Presenting ideas, progress, and solutions to both internal teams and external stakeholders.


• Mentoring and guiding team members to improve their skills and performance.


• Testing and validating proposed solutions through Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and prototypes.


• Providing regular updates on project development during team stand-ups, client meetings, and through daily written communications.


• Working in conjunction with commercial, design, and development teams to ensure successful project outcomes in accordance with Agile methodology.
