Accounts Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our business advisory services in Market Harborough. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and work well in a small, friendly team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with clients and regulatory government agencies, including HMRC, Companies House, and Pension providers.
  • Assist with personal tax return preparation and bookkeeping using accounting software.
  • Prepare VAT returns and working papers (income and expenditure).
  • Manage auto-enrolment pensions and onboard new clients.
  • Perform general office administration, including answering phones and greeting clients.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accountancy practice with exposure to personal tax computations.
  • AAT Qualified or studying, with a good understanding of Karbon, Xero, TaxCalc, QuickBooks, and Ignition.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
