SEND Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Ribbons & Reeves, London's leading Education Recruiters, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology Graduate to join our team as a SEND Teaching Assistant in a vibrant Primary School in Hillingdon.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management plans in collaboration with the school's SENDCo and Class Teachers.
  • Provide one-on-one support to students with SEND in both the classroom and small group settings, adapting and creating materials to meet their specific learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting social and emotional well-being.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the best possible support for each child.
  • Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to the school's SENDCo.
Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with children with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Experience working with children with SEND is an advantage but not essential.
