About the Role

Newlands House is a Nurse-Led Manager service, As a Deputy Manager (RN) with Leonard Cheshire, you will fully support the Nurse-Led Manager in the running of the nursing home and deputise in their absence. Providing effective management and supervision of a great team (including nurses and care staff), you will lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run. You will promote positive outcomes for disabled people with a flexible and proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for monitoring and providing the highest standards of nursing, clinical and personal support to our customers, you will promote independence and choice.
  • Ensure the service is fully compliant regarding health and safety management, fulfilling statutory obligations and excellent overall service delivery.
  • Provide effective management and supervision of a great team (including nurses and care staff).
  • Lead with passion and enthusiasm to ensure the service is well run.

Requirements

  • Current NMC registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • A level of professional development and registration (may include Level 5 Leadership in Health and Social Care qualification).
  • Experience in managing a team of nursing and care staff.
  • Experience of providing direct personal and social care.
  • Experience in working with customers who have physical and/or learning disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work rostered hours.
