Job Summary:
Bush and Company Rehabilitation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Care Assistant to join our team in providing care and support to a 28-year-old young lady with an acquired brain injury and complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and support to the client, including assistance with daily living activities and therapy exercises.
- Accompany the client to appointments and engage in activities that promote her physical and emotional well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the client's family and therapy team to develop a structured timetable of activities, including hydrotherapy, gardening, music therapy, and arts and crafts.
- Support the client in maintaining a clean and tidy living environment.
- Complete daily notes and maintain accurate records of the client's care and activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in complex care and support work, including peg feeding and administering medication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Full driving license and ability to drive the client's vehicle.
- Enhanced DBS check and references.
Working Hours:
32 hours per week, Tuesday to Friday 10:00am - 6:00pm, with other days available by prior arrangement.
Rate of Pay:
£16.00 per hour (weekday hours) and £17.50 per hour (weekend hours).
