About the Role

Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled Deputy Chief Financial Officer to join their team. This is a hybrid role based in Kent, with an initial 6-month fixed term contract.

About the Company

Certain Advantage is a health-care organisation serving a community in the southeastern part of England. They provide a range of medical services and treatments across several facilities, focusing on delivering quality care through a combination of hospitals, clinics, and specialised centres.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide additional capacity to support the delivery of the company's financial plan for 2023/24 and implement its medium-term financial recovery plan.
  • Ensure a clear and robust understanding of the Trust's financial position and forecast out-turn, identifying key drivers and risks, actions and mitigation's with relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with the Finance Team and PMO to ensure clear and consistent reporting of efficiency savings (CIPs), including links to the overall Trust financial position and forecast out-turn.
  • Support the CFO to oversee the programme to monitor and manage financial risks and mitigation's, to deliver the Trust's revenue financial plan.
  • Work with relevant key stakeholders to identify and implement actions and controls to reduce bank and agency headcount and expenditure.
Requirements
  • Experience of working at CFO level or Deputy CFO level in complex environments.
  • Demonstrable experience of contributing to delivery of financial improvement programmes.
  • Demonstrable track record of delivery of challenging objectives / projects / programmes.
  • Effective, credible and convincing communicator.
  • Pro-active and inquisitive.
  • Effective in providing constructive challenge.
  • Effective at collaborative working with key stakeholders.
