We are currently seeking applications for the role of Field Support Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting the SuperValu, Centra, and MACE brands throughout Musgrave Northern Ireland.

Reporting to the Food to Go Specialist, this position is primarily field-based, focusing on assisting our retail partners in enhancing their Food to Go offerings across the SuperValu, MACE, and Centra networks. This operational role emphasizes training and support in this sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ongoing evaluation and identification of sales opportunities within Food to Go departments across existing SuperValu, Centra, and MACE locations.
  • Training and assisting current retailers within SuperValu, Centra, and MACE stores, specifically in areas such as In-store Bakery, Food to Go, and Moo'd.
  • Collaborating with retail partners to implement Food to Go initiatives aimed at boosting sales and profitability.
  • Monitoring in-store standards related to Food to Go categories and, when necessary, developing improvement plans in partnership with the broader sales team.
  • Analyzing and addressing performance issues in under-performing stores and determining training requirements.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in a retail or food service environment (in-store bakery, hot food, deli service) with responsibilities for maintaining store standards and driving sales growth.
  • Proven experience in training others.
  • Current knowledge of key trends within the Food to Go sector.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship management skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach.
  • Full clean driving license.
  • Basic Food Hygiene certification.
  • Understanding and application of HACCP principles.
  • Familiarity with current allergen legislation and requirements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in an FMCG, Retail, or Foodservice setting.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene certification.
