The position of **Assistant Nurse Manager** involves delivering exceptional nursing care independently, grounded in evidence-based practices. This role requires a demonstration of advanced Emergency Department (ED) nursing competencies and serves as a valuable resource for junior nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct and document thorough nursing assessments, addressing both the physical and social needs of patients.
- Proactively create and seize opportunities to enhance the health and well-being of patients under your care.
- Influence and oversee the quality of direct patient care delivery, ensuring adherence to best practices and operational protocols.
- Lead a pediatric nursing team throughout the shift, fostering collaboration and support among team members.
- Oversee the security and maintenance of Emergency Department equipment.
- Facilitate the establishment of care standards and assist in implementing effective monitoring techniques.
- Act as a deputy for the Pediatric Lead Nurse during their absence.
- Address incidents and complaints as they arise, escalating issues to senior nursing staff as necessary.
- Ensure effective communication tailored to the understanding levels of various recipients, considering potential barriers such as language, culture, and health conditions.
