Family Assistant Role

Grosvenor Hart Homes is seeking a skilled Family Assistant to join our team in Chester city centre. As a Family Assistant, you will work closely with children, young people, and their families to provide support and guidance in achieving their goals and improving their life outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build trusted relationships with families and young people to assess their support needs and create bespoke plans to meet those needs.
  • Work with prospective tenants and statutory services to ensure a smooth transition into their new home.
  • Drive and oversee the execution of each tenant's support plan, removing barriers and helping to solve problems.
  • Offer practical and emotional support to individuals and families as needed, including in times of emergency or crisis.
  • Facilitate neighbourhood projects to further social outcomes, community gardening, arts, and cooking activities.
Requirements:
  • Professional qualification and background in social work, youth work, health, or similar.
  • Previous experience of working in a social care role or equivalent with children and families, as well as a sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience of complex case management and delivering to assessment and outcome-based frameworks.
  • An understanding of welfare rights and providing money advice.
