About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Electrical Technician to support our expanding operations in the North East. With a proven track record in maintenance engineering, you'll provide essential electrical or mechanical support on production and ancillary machinery, ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Improve machinery and facilities reliability through maintenance activities, modification, and good engineering practices.
  • Carry out routine maintenance activities to ensure equipment performance is maintained and optimized.
  • Fault find and repair in breakdown situations, using engineering drawings and machine manuals.
  • Carry out PPM tasks for all key equipment.
  • Assist the MRO team in maintaining spare parts stores stock levels and records.
  • Undergo training to maintain or improve competency and skill levels.
  • Operate with a degree of autonomy, working within department deliverables and health and safety legislation.
  • Provide support and assistance to the production and engineering departments, improving the service provided by the maintenance department as a whole.
  • Carry out routine inspections and either repair or report defects to management.

Requirements

  • Engineering qualification in electrical or mechanical maintenance.
  • Maintaining production machinery.
  • Fault finding in control panels on PLC's, VSD's, and relay logic circuits.
