Job Overview

The Thrombosis team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking a motivated Healthcare Assistant Practitioner to join their specialist area.

This opportunity will enable the successful candidate to gain skills and knowledge in Thrombosis, Anticoagulation & Thromboprophylaxis, working closely with the Thrombosis Registered Nurse Team.

The ability to communicate effectively in Welsh is desirable, but English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Duties

The post holder will be responsible for delivering evidence-based care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering patient care as documented in the care pathway
  • Carrying out a wide range of extended Healthcare Support Worker duties or working unsupervised for periods of their shift
