Job Opportunity: Secondary Daily Supply Teacher

GSL Education is seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary Daily Supply Teacher to cover various subjects in secondary schools across Newcastle.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring continuity in students' learning, covering short-term absences of classroom teachers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of subjects across the secondary curriculum, including KS3 and KS4.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
  • Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
  • Follow the school's policies and procedures for delivering lessons and managing students.
  • Provide feedback to regular teachers on students' progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support student development and well-being.

Requirements:

  • Teaching Certification (QTS/PGCE or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of the secondary school curriculum and teaching methodologies.
  • Patient, adaptable, and genuinely passionate about education.
  • Ability to craft engaging and inclusive lesson plans.
  • Enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or willingness to apply).
