We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered General/ITU/A&E Nurse to join our team at Nurslink. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced ITU/A&E environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Assist patients with their activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Regularly assess and monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Perform various types of observations and use different monitoring systems to ensure patient safety.
- Operate and maintain various medical equipment, including ventilators, infusion pumps, and monitors.
- Administer medication to patients as prescribed by medical staff.
- Care for patients receiving invasive and non-invasive ventilation, including intubation and weaning.
- Prioritize patient care to ensure timely and effective treatment.
- Recognize patient deterioration and escalate care promptly to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients, and relatives to ensure seamless care.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve shared goals.
- Make appropriate referrals to other healthcare services as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records to ensure continuity of care.
- Work under pressure to meet the demands of a fast-paced ITU/A&E environment.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to address complex patient care issues.
- Adhere to local policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality care.
- Prepare patients for discharge or transfer to other departments, ensuring a smooth transition of care.
Requirements:
- Registered nurse with a current NMC pin.
- Relevant nursing qualifications.
- Hardworking A&E RGN/ITU RGN with 6 months recent experience.
- Two clinical references that cover 3 years of work experience.
