Autism Spectrum Disorder Co-ordinator Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Autism service within NHS Highland, working closely with the Autism Practitioner to provide comprehensive secretarial, administrative, and patient coordination services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a crucial focal point for all communication to and from the Autism Practitioner, interacting with patients, relatives, carers, GPs, Social Workers, other Healthcare Professionals, and various agencies.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, who can work effectively within a team environment and individually.

The ideal candidate will have significant secretarial experience, a high level of office practice skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and proficiency in the use of office software and patient information systems, including Microsoft Office, email, Hospital Intranet, Trak Care PMS, and SciStore.

We require a calm, discreet, and confidential approach to dealing with patients, with a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm.

This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
