IT Support Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Assistant to join our team at The Newt in Somerset. As an IT Support Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing exceptional support to our colleagues and guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve end-user issues related to Microsoft Office, printer setup, VPN, and shared drive access.
  • Collaborate with the IT Project Manager to troubleshoot Point of Sale, Credit Card, Music, Telephone, Fire Alarm, and CCTV challenges.
  • Set up and manage new user requests, including installing and configuring hardware and software.

Requirements:
  • Education in Information Technology, such as MCITP, MCSA, or CCNA.
  • Minimum of 2 years prior experience in an IT support environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Hands-on knowledge of local area network management.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of hospitality IT systems an advantage.
