About the Role

We are seeking an experienced E-Learning Content Developer to join our team at Kent Fire and Rescue Services. As an E-Learning Content Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective e-learning content that supports the organisation's learning and development objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, engaging e-learning courses and modules using a variety of multimedia elements.
  • Apply instructional design theories and digital learning principles to ensure content is both accessible and effective.
  • Work with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to gather content requirements and ensure learning objectives are met.
  • Exercise developed advisory and persuasive skills to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and engaging e-learning materials.
  • Upload, maintain, and manage e-learning content on the organisation's Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of e-learning materials by gathering feedback from users and analysing learning data.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles and how they apply to digital learning environments.
  • Familiarity with web accessibility guidelines and how to design e-learning content that is accessible to all learners.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of e-learning trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, including needs analysis, content development, and assessment design.
  • Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Ability to create engaging multimedia content, including graphics, animations, video, and interactive elements.
  • Experience managing and uploading content on Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Moodle, Blackboard, or similar.
