Job Summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Regional Financial Controller to lead our UK finance team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our UK operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure adherence to our international accounting policies and procedures within the UK.
  • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to supporting detail on a monthly basis.
  • Review and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Provide financial support to the UK management team and international controller.
  • Liaise with external auditors to prepare and file tax returns and complete year-end financial audits.
  • Ensure timely completion of statutory and tax filings.
  • Coordinate the annual budget and internal control documentation.
  • Resolve intercompany disputes and outstanding balances.
  • Supervise the UK finance team and conduct annual performance reviews.
Requirements
  • Recognized accounting qualification.
  • Relevant industry experience preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of accounting for statutory accounts within the UK.
  • Practical experience of direct and indirect tax.
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Significant experience of accounting at a management level.
  • Well-developed IT system skills.
  • SOX experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting process management.
  • Sound knowledge of project management and execution of multiple projects.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of interpreting management information reports.
Preferred Qualifications
  • University degree.
  • CPA/CA.
  • 10+ years of experience.
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred.
  • US public company experience.
