Job Title: Senior Financial Controller

Job Summary:

Lawes Group Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Financial Controller to join our client's team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for managing the financial environment for the UK Group accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the Company's international accounting policies and procedures are being complied with within the UK.
  • Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled to the supporting detail on a monthly basis.
  • Review the internal controls present and institute effective controls to safeguard the assets of the Company or enhance those controls where required.
  • Provide financial support to the UK Management team and Corporate Controller.
  • Liaise with Ernst & Young, the Company's external auditors, in the preparation and filing of the tax returns and completion of the year-end financial audits.
  • Ensure that all required statutory and tax filings are made in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the completion of the annual budget.
  • Coordinate the Company's internal control documentation as it relates to requirements under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
  • Resolve all intercompany disputes and outstanding balances by working with the other Regional Financial Controllers and Managing Directors. Also, ensure that quarterly intercompany confirmations are performed on a timely basis.
  • Supervise the UK Finance team, including undertaking annual performance reviews.
  • Work with management to reduce investments in A/R and Work-In-Progress, and generate cash dividends to the parent company.

Requirements:

  • Must be a Fully Qualified Accountant.
  • Intimate understanding of all aspects of financial management.
  • Sound relationship management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative and be self-reliant.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication.
  • Excellent report writing skills.
  • Sound Treasury management skills.
