Swimming Pool and Sports Facilities Duty Manager

Millfield School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Swimming Pool and Sports Facilities Duty Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of all users, maintaining the facilities' cleanliness and hygiene standards, and supervising the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading a team of lifeguards and swim teachers
  • Performing lifeguard duties at both the Millfield Senior Pool and Millfield Prep Pool
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, codes of practice, and operating procedures
  • Setting up and dismantling equipment
  • Supervising the Cricket Centre and Golf Centre

Requirements:

  • Valid NPLQ certification
  • Previous experience in lifeguarding and leadership (desirable)
  • Confident and outgoing demeanour
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Adeptness in problem-solving
  • Ability to lead by example
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure high standards

This is a full-time, all year-round role working 35 hours per week on a rota basis covering the opening hours of both our swimming pools during days, evenings, and weekends for a salary of £22,022 per annum.
