The role of Lead for Stress Testing and Prudential Risk at Wise is crucial for the organization. You will play a key role in comprehensively understanding and quantifying all major risks, while effectively managing capital and liquidity. Your responsibilities will include the proactive identification of emerging risks, efficient capital and liquidity management, and maintaining a balance between regulatory obligations, profit maximization, and resilience during challenging scenarios.

  • Establish and oversee a second-line, Group-level function for stress testing and prudential risk management
  • Execute data-driven and methodologically sound stress testing initiatives across all financial and non-financial risks
  • Co-manage the execution of Group-level ICARA, ILAAP, WDP, and RST; evaluate and challenge regional ICARAs/ILAAPs
  • Engage with key stakeholders to refine risk taxonomy and controls for real-time stress assessments
  • Provide counsel to ALCO and its subcommittees regarding potential risks and strategic initiatives
  • Recruit, mentor, and lead the Stress Testing and Prudential Risk Management team

Qualifications

  • Practical experience in stress testing and the calculation of capital and liquidity requirements
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and industry best practices
  • Significant experience in stress testing and/or prudential risk management within the financial services sector
  • Comprehensive understanding of banking regulations in leading markets
  • Innovative and practical approach to risk management
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Proven track record of driving transformation and delivering strategic insights
  • Degree in finance, economics, or related disciplines
