An exceptional opportunity has emerged within the prestigious Employment and Labor division of a leading law firm for a Senior Associate to join their London office.

This esteemed law firm operates in over 30 jurisdictions globally, employing a workforce of more than 1,200 legal professionals. The firm is recognized for its robust capabilities in M&A, real estate, financial services, litigation, and corporate risk management. Their clientele includes publicly traded multinational corporations, large and mid-sized private enterprises, emerging businesses, non-profit organizations, governmental bodies, and individual clients.

The ideal candidate will be someone aiming to elevate their career and establish themselves as a key liaison between clients and the legal team. You will serve as the primary contact for clients, ensuring accurate communication of instructions and addressing inquiries effectively. A strong background in managing high-value litigation cases, providing practical and commercially sound legal advice, conducting investigations, and advising financial services clients—along with a solid understanding of the regulatory framework governing this sector—is highly sought after for this position.

In this role, you will engage with a diverse array of employment law issues, particularly in litigation, with a focus on high-value claims such as whistleblowing detriment/dismissal and discrimination cases. Your responsibilities will encompass general advisory services on various employment law aspects, document preparation, and involvement in corporate and real estate transactions, with a significant emphasis on litigation. The team addresses matters including whistleblowing, discrimination, restrictive covenants, disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, senior executive departures, redundancies, and compensation across multiple sectors, especially within the financial industry. Additionally, the team manages all employment-related issues arising from mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and team transitions.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a proven track record in UK employment law, acquired from a reputable City or international law firm.
