Job Summary

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our Emergency Duty Team (EDT) at Wrexham County Borough Council. As a Support Worker, you will work alongside Social Workers to provide a good quality service that meets the needs of children, young people, families, and individuals in crisis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to children and young people who have come into the care of the local authority in an emergency
  • Support parents, carers, children, and young people to maintain positive relationships and remain together as a family unit
  • Work with individuals who may not initially possess a related qualification, but can demonstrate experience working with children and young people
Requirements
  • A qualification in a related discipline (or working towards a qualification such as QCF Level 3, Social Work, Nursing)
  • Experience working with children and young people
  • An enhanced DBS & Social Care for Wales registration
