We are seeking an experienced Digital Asset Team Leader to join our team at The Mid Yorkshire Teaching NHS Trust. Key Responsibilities- Team Supervision: Supervise the Digital Asset Management team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-quality IT services to our staff and patients.
- Asset Management: Manage the asset lifecycle from requirements definition to procurement, operation, and disposal, ensuring compliance with current Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations and Information Governance.
- IT Asset Tracking: Ensure all IT assets are tracked, clearly identifiable by location and user, and that all audit requirements are supported.
- Configuration Management: Administer, monitor, and maintain the configuration management database, ensuring accuracy of the asset inventory.
- Asset Performance Monitoring: Monitor asset performance throughout their lifecycle and make recommendations for adjustments.
- Asset Management CMDB: Maintain and monitor the Asset Management CMDB to determine effective use of equipment throughout the Trust.
- Software Asset Management: Assist with the management of software assets, ensuring compliance of licenses and policy requirements.
- Incident, Problem, and Release Management: Support the incident, problem, and release management processes.
- Team Planning and Organisation: Plan and organise the day-to-day work of the Digital Asset team, adjusting as necessary to variance of workload.
- Customer Service: Provide advice and guidance to the Digital Asset Management team to ensure a high standard of customer service and support is maintained.
- Service Catalogue Development: Support the development and maintenance of the Service Catalogue.
- Change Management: Follow change management procedures and advise on any issues appropriately.
- IT Service Management Information: Support the production of IT Service Management information and Key Performance Indicators.
- Equipment Ordering: Monitor the ordering of equipment on the Trust's financial system.
- Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers in line with the Trust's IT Asset Management Policy.
- Information Dissemination: Receive complex and detailed information, ensuring it is interpreted and disseminated within the own team.
- Technical Support: Provide advice and guidance to all Trust staff on IT and technical equipment, explaining more complicated and complex information in a way that staff will understand.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Assets Manager to provide an effective and efficient digital service.
- Recruitment and Selection: Participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff within the Digital Asset Management Team.
- Onboarding: Contribute to the onboarding of new staff through the provision of mentoring, guidance, and training as necessary.
- Team Performance Management: Manage, monitor, and evaluate team and individual performance, through the analysis of data and creation of reports, to ensure efficient service delivery to customers.
- Escalation Point: Act as an escalation point and assist in the resolution of technical and operational issues.
- Reporting: Report to the Digital Assets Manager with regards to workload, work assignment, and associated issues.
- Customer Service: Ensure effective and efficient customer service, ensuring any matters escalated are dealt with promptly and professionally.
- Equipment Deployment: Contribute to the delivery and deployment of a wide range of equipment used by the Trust, including desktops, laptops, desk phones, Android and iOS devices, mobile phones, iPads, and associated software and peripherals.
- Device Replacement and Costing: Provide advice and guidance on device replacement and costing as necessary.
- Policies and Procedures: Implement policies and procedures in own area, developing Standard Operating Procedures, work plans, and training plans as required, proposing policy or service changes beyond the immediate team.
- IT Asset Management Policies: Contribute to the IT Asset Management policies and processes, including IT Asset Management and Mobile Phone policies.
- Team Collaboration: Work in conjunction with other Digital services teams in the successful delivery of projects, managing IT systems and hardware deployment, testing, or upgrading as required.
- IT Documentation: Write and maintain IT documentation, ensuring records in the ITSM tool are up to date.
- Specialist Equipment: Be responsible for the correct and safe use of expensive and specialist IT equipment within the Digital Asset team.
- Team Support: Provide assistance to, and work closely with, all teams within Digital Services.
- Project Participation: Participate in projects, testing of new systems, evaluating, and reporting on new IT hardware and software, attending appropriate project team meetings as necessary, acting as specialist lead in own area.
- Continuous Service Improvement: Contribute and participate in team projects relating to continuous service improvement of the Digital Asset Management Team and wider Digital Support Services teams.
- Knowledge Sharing: Provide advice, guidance, and training to other team members, sharing and documenting own knowledge and experience.
- Team Representation: Represent the team in departmental meetings, presenting information and data from own area of expertise.
- Equipment Transportation: Assist with the requirement to carry and move equipment across Trust sites.
- Departmental Fleet Vehicle: Undertake driving of the departmental fleet vehicle in accordance with the Trust's transport rules and conditions.
- Reasonable Duties: Undertake any other reasonable duties as required.
