Clinical Assessor

We are seeking experienced nurses and allied health professionals with expertise in mental health or psychiatric backgrounds to join our team as Clinical Assessors. This is an exciting opportunity to support the Victims' Payment Board in delivering the clinical assessment service for the Troubles Permanent Disablement Payment Scheme.
Key Responsibilities:- Meet face-to-face with applicants to determine the permanence of their condition and percentage disablement
- Play a proactive role in seeking insight and further medical evidence from GPs, other healthcare professionals, or services to support applicants' TPS applications
- Analyse and interpret clinical information and supporting evidence to compile a comprehensive report for the Department of Justice and the Victims Payment Board
- A minimum of 4 years' post-registration experience with AYE & PIP qualifications completed
- Fully registered without sanction or conditions of practice with NISCC
- Must be based in Northern Ireland
- Demonstrable background in a Mental Health/Psychiatric specialty
- Ability to work at pace, set boundaries, manage conversations, and keep to timescales
- Ability to relate to people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds, races, religions, and cultures
- Report writing skills with an ability to deal with a high percentage of work using a laptop and IT systems
- A competitive basic salary of £38,500, with a career pathway programme that can increase salary up to £41,400 plus up to 10% bonus
- Initial 6 weeks' training and ongoing support provided (fully paid)
- Flexible work patterns, with the option to work between 8am and 8pm, 7.5 hours per day, 37.5 hours per week
- Hybrid working, with predominantly working from home and clinic visits required
- 23 days' holiday, plus many more benefits
