About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team at Tesco. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you will play a vital role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of medication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the operation of our modern pharmacies, working closely with experienced Pharmacists and managers to deliver high-quality healthcare services to our customers.
  • Apply your technical skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication, ensuring attention to detail and accuracy at all times.
  • Talk to customers and offer information in a confident, friendly, and professional manner, providing our customers with a great service and making them want to visit our pharmacy again.
  • Offer appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms, and products, and advise them on the range of pharmacy services available.
  • Support and deliver pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to our Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Assess the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions and deal with clinical and legal queries from healthcare practitioners within your area of competence.
  • Respond to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines, informing the Pharmacist of any complaints.
  • Ensure all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed, and that the dispensary and consulting rooms are clean, tidy, and free of clutter.
  • Ensure all prescription administration is accurate and completed on time, and bring promotional activities and company initiatives within the team to life.
  • Carry out all procedures accurately to protect profit and ensure we trade safely and legally, and complete corporate and departmental training.
  • Keep up to date with legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
