Job Summary

The Partnership Tax Accountant will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely handling of partners' pay and tax affairs. This position requires a high level of expertise in personal tax and a strong ability to work collaboratively with the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner Tax Support: Provide support to partners regarding their pay and tax affairs, including responding to queries and resolving issues.
  • Tax Calculations: Calculate partner net of tax drawings allowances and set payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Partner Promotions and Changes: Handle partner promotions and changes, including updating tax records and ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Tax Planning and Compliance: Prepare partner tax reserves, associated journals, personal tax returns, and tax payments to HMRC, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Tax Balance Review: Review partner tax balances and deal with the release of tax reserve balances following the closure of the tax year.
  • Tax Planning for Partners: Provide tax planning advice to partners, including relief available for pension contributions.
  • Departing Partners: Handle departing partners and settle current account balances, ensuring a smooth transition.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified by experience or ATT qualified.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years in personal tax.
  • Skills: A good working knowledge of Excel and the ability to use CCH personal tax software.
  • Personal Qualities: High levels of confidentiality, discretion, and diplomacy, as well as the ability to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
