About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Departmental Coordinator to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our administrative support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the department, including maintaining accurate records and files.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents, reports, and presentations.
  • Coordinate meetings and events, including arranging travel and accommodation for attendees.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of administrative processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C/4 or above or equivalent.
  • NVQ level 3 in Business administration or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Relevant experience of secretarial/clerical/administration duties.
  • Experience of meeting objectives and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience of producing documents to a high standard of presentation with good accuracy.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • ECDL or evidence of short courses in all core Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience working as a Medical Secretary/admin role in a healthcare setting.
  • Audio Typing Experience.
  • Experience with NHS/Healthcare software systems.
