Production Operations Manager

Reed Supply Chain is partnering with a leading manufacturer in the Newport area to find a talented Production Team Leader. This exciting opportunity offers a 4-day working week, a generous pension scheme, and company bonuses.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a high-performing production team, ensuring smooth workflow and high morale.
- Allocate tasks based on production needs and individual strengths, driving efficiency and productivity.
- Manage permanent and temporary staff, handling absence management and ensuring seamless operations.
- Oversee daily production operations, ensuring products meet specifications and quality standards.
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Conduct regular product quality inspections and ensure equipment is calibrated and fit for use.
- Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety policies and conducting safety audits.
- Document hazards and near misses, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements to reduce waste, eliminate defects, and lower costs.
