Working Hours: As part of our commitment to employee well-being, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours, effective from April 2024, while maintaining current salary levels. This adjustment will also apply proportionately to part-time staff. Please note that some service areas may require temporary adjustments to working hours until the new schedules are fully implemented.

Position Details:

  • Shift Pattern: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Grade: Band 6
  • Salary Range: £37,831 - £46,100
  • Employment Type: Full Time
  • Hours: 37 per week
  • Contract Type: Maternity Leave Cover, fixed term for 12 months

Applicants must possess a degree or equivalent qualification in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and hold registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).

In this role, you will leverage your existing skills in a dynamic environment, focusing on enhancing mobility and independence for individuals recovering from various health challenges. You will be expected to demonstrate confidence in your core therapeutic abilities and have a thorough understanding of local policies and procedures.

Your responsibilities will include working with a diverse clientele to help them navigate physical, mental, social, and environmental challenges, enabling them to lead independent lives. You will cover a broad geographical area, conducting both in-clinic and home visits.

As a member of a multidisciplinary team, you will receive support to expand your expertise and skills, ultimately progressing towards becoming a clinical specialist therapist. Our comprehensive induction program will equip you with essential knowledge regarding pressure care, assessment, and the provision of specialized equipment.
