Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' mental health status and develop individualized care plans to address their unique needs.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitoring and Response: Continuously monitor patients for changes in condition and respond promptly to crises, providing a safe and supportive environment.
- Therapeutic Support: Provide therapeutic support and education to patients and their families, promoting holistic care and well-being.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, maintaining open and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
Requirements:
- Current RN License: Possess a current RN license in the state of practice.
- Psychiatric Nursing Experience: Minimum of 12 years of psychiatric nursing experience, with a strong focus on patient assessment, care planning, and medication management.
- Skills and Qualifications: Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Preferred Qualifications:
- EPIC Experience: Previous experience with EPIC electronic health record system.
- Crisis Intervention Training: Completion of crisis intervention training program.
