We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Merchandiser to join our team at Boohoo Group. As a Senior Merchandiser, you will play a key role in supporting the merchandising function with future strategies and planning.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Head of Merchandising to develop a clear strategy for the brand, ensuring maximum profitability across all areas.
- Team Management: Directly manage a team of merchandisers, providing guidance and support to ensure sales are optimized and profitability is achieved.
- Stock Management: Control stock levels for the brand and by category, based on weekly sales and stock intakes, to ensure the right stock is in the right place at the right time.
- Analysis and Reporting: Analyze and monitor best and worst sellers, providing informed recommendations for action to drive business growth.
- Promotions and Rebuys: Recommend promotions and rebuys as necessary to maximize sales and profitability.
- Margin and Profit Management: Monitor and maintain buying margin and gross profit margins, as requested by the Merchandising Director and buying team.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Supply the Merchandising Director and buying team with necessary data to enable informed decisions and planning.
- Team Development: Manage the day-to-day running of the brand, including management of the merchandising team, carrying out 1-2-1s, developing and training team members, and overseeing category management.
- Experience: Proven experience within a merchandising role, with a strong understanding of the fashion industry.
- Leadership: Experience managing a team and developing individuals in their careers.
- Passion for the Brand: A passion for being an ambassador for the Boohoo Group brand.
- Team Player: A team player who enjoys going above and beyond to support others in the team, especially during peak times.
- Continuous Improvement: Always striving to improve not only themselves, but the department's operation, with outside-the-box thinking.
