About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned software engineer/architect to join the Test Engineering division of the Digital Payload Hardware team. This role is based in a dynamic environment where you will leverage your extensive experience in designing software solutions, facilitating their development, and integrating them onto both custom and standard hardware platforms within a testing framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze requirements to architect software designs that meet the testing needs of innovative and complex electronics and PCBs.
- Lead a small team in the development of test software, ensuring the creation of well-defined software modules that support test cases.
- Oversee the integration of all software and hardware components necessary for the control and testing of Digital Payload equipment.
- Ensure that the software architecture accommodates all identified scenarios, including procedures, test scripts, results analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with a dedicated test-system team to define essential deliverables for generating a comprehensive test solution for Digital Payload equipment.
- Work closely with product design engineers and project managers to achieve testing capabilities within budget and schedule constraints.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience in software architecture, including familiarity with tools such as Enterprise Architect.
- Proficient in software development languages, particularly Python and C/C++, with relevance to hardware testing and measurement environments.
- Ability to lead and direct a team of software engineers to meet project objectives.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware/software/system integration.
