Job Title: Family Support Team Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Team Assistant to join our team at a primary school in Lambeth. As a key member of our support team, you will play a vital role in providing students with the support and guidance they need to succeed.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, promoting positive behavior, and working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their goals
  • Monitor attendance and engagement, identifying areas for improvement and developing strategies to increase participation
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student support
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans, working closely with teachers and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture, promoting social, emotional, and mental well-being
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a strong passion for supporting students with additional needs. The ideal candidate will have:

A degree in a relevant field, such as education, psychology, or social workExperience working with students with SEN or mental health needsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solvingA commitment to ongoing professional development
