General Cover Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable General Cover Teacher to join our team at a 'Good' Ofsted-rated school in Thetford, Norfolk.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons across various subjects, ensuring a high standard of education for our students.
  • Maintain a well-organised and professional classroom environment, with all necessary resources readily available.
  • Collaborate effectively with other staff members, both within the department and throughout the school, to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and implement strategies to support individual needs.
  • Ensure compliance with the school's policies and procedures, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent mainstream school-based experience as a General Cover Teacher or teaching professional.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum, with the ability to adapt to different year groups and subjects.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills, with a focus on creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
