About the Position
This position is part of a collaborative initiative with a prominent financial institution aimed at enhancing financial stability and addressing the cycles that contribute to financial exclusion and adverse financial conditions affecting housing.
Your responsibilities will include providing exceptional housing guidance and advocacy aligned with the community priorities of the Birmingham hub:
- Assisting families dealing with homelessness
- Enhancing conditions within the Private Rented Sector
- Reducing obstacles for individuals facing multiple disadvantages
This role will require you to engage with individuals experiencing homelessness and substandard housing to identify and address local community issues.
You will develop and implement casework strategies for individuals and communities to improve their housing situations, while also networking and collaborating with community organizations and stakeholders to raise awareness of housing rights.
About You
You possess strong listening and engagement skills, enabling you to work effectively with individuals, communities, and various stakeholders, including facilitating group workshops and presentations.
Your background includes experience and knowledge in housing and homelessness support, with the capability to advance to a specialist level of expertise.
You are adept at conducting casework interviews, maintaining comprehensive case records, and providing clients with informed advice and support, as well as delivering educational workshops and presentations.
