Job Summary:

A rare opportunity has arisen for a driven and entrepreneurial Director or Partner to join our client, a leading Business Services Group, as the Principal Partner in a newly created accounting entity. Based in the West End, the firm seeks to leverage its growing client base to establish a high-quality accounting firm offering services to micro businesses and larger, more complex clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the P&L, budget, financial forecasting, and financial analysis of the accounting entity.
  • Obtain and maintain regulatory approval from the relevant accounting body.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality client work in a timely manner, with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Implement cloud accountancy software (e.g. Xero) and onboard clients in a phased manner.
  • Recruit and manage teams, providing training and mentorship to staff within the accounting firm.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Recruitment to identify and hire staff for the accounting entity.
  • Develop onboarding and retention marketing content in collaboration with the marketing team.
  • Establish a Sales Team within the accounting arm and implement a cohesive process from warm lead to full onboarding to maximize acquisition and renewable revenue.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in accountancy practice, both client-facing and operational.
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA preferred).
  • Hands-on experience and a strong working knowledge of Xero.
