About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Diabetes Specialist Nurse to join our dedicated inpatient team. You will play a vital role in providing expert diabetes care to patients within our busy acute specialist nursing service.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional, individualized diabetes care to patients and their families, ensuring they receive the highest quality of support throughout their hospital stay.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals, to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to colleagues on diabetes management, contributing to the overall improvement of diabetes care within the Trust.
  • Contribute to audits and clinical supervision activities, ensuring adherence to national guidelines and best practices.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your knowledge and skills in diabetes care.

About You:

You are a registered nurse with a post-basic specialist qualification in diabetes. You possess a strong understanding of diabetes management principles and best practices, and you have experience working in an inpatient setting. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and colleagues.
