Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our passionate and friendly catering team at Lake House. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in creating delicious meals for our residents, while ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals for large groups of people, including residents with specialist diets
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Engage with residents to understand their individual needs and preferences
- Contribute to the development of menus and meal plans that cater to the diverse needs of our residents
- Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to food hygiene and health and safety regulations
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a professional kitchen, preferably in a care setting
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and/or Level 2 Diploma in Food Production and Cooking
- Ability to work alternate weekends and flexible hours as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a warm and welcoming environment
