Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a skilled Package Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our prestigious contract to construct a state-of-the-art Battery Manufacturing Facility.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Package Engineer to oversee the design, coordination, and management of sub-contractors employed in various trades within the project area. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of the project, coordinating with internal departments and external agencies, and ensuring compliance with SRM obligations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the design, coordination, and management of sub-contractors in various trades
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies, including Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, and Site Staff
- Ensure SRM obligations to sub-contractors are understood and discharged
- Organize and conduct regular site progress meetings with sub-contractors to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Update the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director on all issues
- Degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
- Ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with the assistance of a project planner
- Proven working experience in package management
- Experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator, which would be an advantage
- Knowledgeable of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards
- Professional membership in a construction industry-related organization (e.g., CIOB)
