Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our Industrial and Manufacturing Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering asset optimisation and net zero carbon solutions for our global clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of projects, ranging from £500k to £3M, and collaborate as part of a team in the delivery of larger multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Provide sound and reasoned technical and professional advice to clients or internal stakeholders relating to the Building Surveying scope of services, including design and specification, contract administration, project management, stakeholder management, risk management, asset optimisation, and retrofit solutions.
  • Assist with the development of Building Surveying services within Arcadis and our capability through responding to market opportunities and selling our services to existing Arcadis clients.
  • As the workload continues to grow, be part of the team recruiting other Surveyors to service our clients' needs and lead this growing team.
Requirements
  • MRICS qualified
  • Good communication skills with a proactive approach and 'can do' attitude
  • Detailed and thorough knowledge of both traditional and modern building construction technology and techniques
  • Experience of design and specification, contract administration, and property refurbishment and maintenance
  • Experience of controlling quality on projects and leading challenging projects
  • Broad thinker and problem solver who can take a commercial view of property and asset management
  • Commercially aware and financially astute
