House Service Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

The Housing Services department is seeking a skilled and organized individual to provide administrative support and customer service to tenants and sharing owners. The successful candidate will work 21 hours per week, with flexibility to work other days and times during Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities include:

* Providing first point of contact for incoming calls, visitors, and housing application enquiries
* Providing comprehensive administration support to the Housing Services Department
* Carrying out routine financial tasks, including processing cash, cheque, card, direct debits, HB, and UC payments
* Liaising with other departments, tenants, and agencies regarding TV Licences, Council Tax, HB, UC, and Shared Ownership
* Providing comprehensive cover for the Housing Services Support Team Leader as required

Requirements:

* Previous experience in a similar environment
* Ability to prioritize a busy workload
* Prior experience of administration duties
* Education to National Level 5 or equivalent with relevant qualifications in Maths and English
* Experience of providing customer service using a variety of communication methods
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages

What we can offer you:

* Contract: Permanent part-time, hours worked Wednesday to Friday
* Hours of work: 21 per week, 7 per day
* Salary: Starting salary is £16, pro rata
* Annual Leave: Pro rata leave entitlement of 37 days, including 9 fixed public holidays

* Probation Period: A six-month probation period applies to all new employees
