The FP&A Team is a core part of the wider Marex Finance Team, which is continuously improving to help drive and support significant business growth across the Marex group.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Derivatives Legal Counsel to assist the Legal team with management of legal risk arising from the Marex Solutions OTC derivatives business. You will advise the business directly on legal and regulatory issues related to OTC derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and support to the business on a wide range of OTC derivatives matters, including documentation, trading practices, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Draft, review, and negotiate OTC derivative transaction documents, such as ISDA Master Agreements and confirmations.
- Stay abreast of developments in relevant laws and regulations governing OTC derivatives.
- Collaborate with other legal and business teams to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to OTC derivatives.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Significant experience in advising on OTC derivatives transactions, preferably within a financial institution or law firm specializing in financial services.
- Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing OTC derivatives, including Dodd-Frank Act and EMIR.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
