About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Program Manager to lead the geography expansions for Amazon Freight EU. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and launching new geos for our customers, driving innovation and transformation in our processes.

This is an exciting opportunity to have a significant impact on the future of Amazon. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify and leverage best practices, and lead a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and driving progress.

Key Responsibilities
  • Launch Amazon Freight to new geographies to unlock total addressable opportunity
  • Create Go to Market strategy for unlock new geography potential and success plan
  • Launch programmes, monitor performance metrics, and report on the status of key objectives that affect deliverables
  • Use data to understand operational challenges and create continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work with a variety of other Amazon departments to identify and leverage best practices
  • Within a programme environment, lead a multidisciplinary team in overcoming challenges and drive progress
  • Manage stakeholders and internal processes, and define standards
A Day in the Life

As a Senior Programme Manager, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You will work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise.

You will encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways we could do things better. Your work will be integral to your team's success.

Requirements
  • A degree
  • Experience in Program Management and delivering complex projects
  • Experience in working with cross-functional and executive stakeholders
  • Data analytics to evaluate and define strategic initiatives
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and/or SQL in a professional environment
  • Relevant experience driving end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree (MBA)
  • Experience in launching organizations to new geographies (preferably EU)
  • Experience in creating go to market strategy to new launches
  • Experience in working with Tax, legal, compliance domain for understanding EU launch space
  • Experience in transportation organization
