About the Role

FTI Consulting, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to support and assist the company's operations in the EMEA region, with a focus on Europe (including the UK), and to work alongside the EMEA team in the development of a risk and compliance framework for the region. This position will report to the Director of Risk and Compliance for the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Advise the firm on compliance requirements in the EMEA region, focusing on Europe (including the UK), and implement and improve policies, processes, and procedures.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of compliance policies, standard operating procedures, training, auditing, and monitoring activities to ensure an effective risk and compliance program throughout the EMEA region.
  3. Support the design, testing, and rollout of new systems, policies, and training programs in connection with various legal and regulatory requirements, such as anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption laws, sanctions, and insider trading.
  4. Work with colleagues in the Legal, Risk, and Compliance function and act as a point of contact for the EMEA region in relation to all risk and compliance issues and queries, effectively and efficiently resolving them.
  5. Draft guidance documentation for practitioners and the Risk and Compliance function to ensure consistent approaches.
  6. Horizon scan for new legal and regulatory developments and legal changes, assisting with their implementation.
  7. There is the potential of taking on regulated roles, such as those of the compliance officer or MLRO for certain entities in the group.
  8. Assist with other ad hoc issues as and when they arise, including the conduct of investigations, audits, and regulatory requests.
  9. Support the EMEA legal team with legal issues and potentially deal with some legal issues if the legal team is at capacity.
Requirements
  1. Ability to weigh risks against operational needs to develop reasoned recommendations, including risk mitigation strategies, and provide sound compliance advice.
  2. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment and deliver them on time.
Qualifications
  1. Several years of experience working in a risk and compliance role in a similar industry.
  2. Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including anti-money laundering regulations, anti-bribery and corruption laws, sanctions, and insider trading.
  3. Demonstrated experience with the review of new laws and regulations and operationalization of said laws and regulations.
  4. Fluency in English across all forms of communication.
  5. Law firm or legal background would be highly beneficial.
  6. Any other languages spoken will be a bonus.
