Job Title: Finance Assistant

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide administrative and financial support to the finance department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations and control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable operations, including receiving, verifying, and posting supplier invoices.
  • Reconcile monthly supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Process payments to suppliers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and supplier payment terms.
  • Liaise with the service department regarding service debits and credits.
  • Maintain accurate supplier and customer files and ledgers.
  • Provide support for audit and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly disciplined and self-motivated individual with a focus on delivery.
  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash book management.
  • Working towards AAT or similar qualification.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with proficiency in Excel.
