Job Summary

Nexus Health Limited is a leading provider of musculoskeletal services in the NHS and private physiotherapy clinics in London and Hertfordshire. We are seeking an experienced Advanced Physiotherapist to join our team in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing musculoskeletal (MSK) problems and undifferentiated conditions in a primary care setting. This will involve working independently in clinical practice, without prior referral from a GP, to establish a rapid and accurate diagnosis and management plan.

The candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Providing clinical expertise and making decisions about the best course of action for patients' care
  • Progressing and requesting investigations to facilitate diagnosis and choice of treatment regime
  • Delivering programmes of supported patient self-management to facilitate behavioural change and optimise individuals' physical activity, mobility, and independence
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient-facing role, using their expert knowledge of MSK issues to create stronger links for wider MSK services
  • Assessing, diagnosing, triaging, and managing patients, taking responsibility for the management of a complex caseload
  • Developing integrated and tailored care programmes in partnership with patients and providing a range of first-line treatment options
  • Liaising with secondary care MSK services, community care MSK services, and local social and community interventions as required
  • Managing complex interactions, including working with patients with psychosocial and mental health needs
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • MSc or MSc Module in Advanced Practice
  • Experience of working as a Band 8a in an NHS setting
  • Injection therapy skills
  • Able to take virtual and face-to-face consultations
  • Working knowledge of EMIS software system
