Job Title: Radiology Navigator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Radiology Navigator to join our team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Radiology Directorate, coordinating and scheduling examinations while acting as a first point of contact between external and internal referrers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate examinations and provide administrative support to the Radiology Directorate
  • Act as a first point of contact for external and internal referrers
  • Develop and utilize a wide range of knowledge including Radiology modalities, booking procedures, and schedules
  • Work as part of the administrative team to provide support in terms of coordinating examinations and undertaking a range of administrative duties
Requirements:
  • NVQ/Apprenticeship Level 4 Business Administration or equivalent
  • Grade C or above in GCSE English and Mathematics or equivalent
  • Trust HR Leadership/Skills Programme
  • Recent administrative experience working in the NHS
  • Recent experience of working across teams consisting of clinical and non-clinical staff
  • Experience of effectively managing competing priorities
  • Radiology Administrative experience
Skills and Aptitudes:
  • Knowledge of NHS Waiting time/Diagnostic Targets
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and convey information accurately, including medical information
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Ability to deal effectively with staff/patient concerns and enquiries
  • Ability to use initiative to problem solve
  • Committed to delivering quality patient care

  • Knowledge of CRIS/PACS/ICE systems

  • Working knowledge of Radiology modalities and imaging pathways.
