Ross-shire Engineering Limited is seeking a Senior Manager in Project Management to enhance our Water Technologies and Modular Build division. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of projects and overseeing their performance from inception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery: Lead the execution of projects or significant components within projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
- Team Supervision: Oversee operational sites and manage delivery teams, including Project Engineers, Site Managers, Supervisors, and Sub-Contractors.
- Client Engagement: Act as the primary liaison from the inquiry phase through to final acceptance, conducting site surveys and discussing specific client requirements.
- Work Allocation: Direct and control the allocation of tasks to Trade Operatives and Apprentices, emphasizing quality, productivity, and safety.
- Program Management: Develop and manage Tender, Design, and Construction Programmes throughout the project lifecycle.
- Change Management: Ensure a clear understanding of project scope and identify changes early to implement contractual mechanisms for Early Warnings and Compensation events.
- Financial Oversight: Manage project finances, including budget setting, monthly forecasting, and profit/loss accountability.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Engage with subcontractors, manage tender specifications, and review health and safety documentation.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Prepare and manage Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary contract documents and produce risk assessments and method statements.
- Environmental Management: Oversee health, safety, and environmental considerations throughout project execution.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A proven track record in project management, ideally with an engineering or supervisory background.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to multitask and organize workloads effectively.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to adapt to shifting priorities and demands.
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and materials relevant to engineering trades, particularly in Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil Engineering.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with diverse teams.
Experience in the water sector is highly advantageous, although candidates from other specialized engineering fields will also be considered. A background in electrical engineering is preferred but not mandatory. A full UK driving license is required.
