The Upex Group is actively seeking a Senior Arborist to operate within a dynamic environment on a Full-Time basis.


Compensation:
£35,000 to £45,000 annually

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct a team of 2-3 arborists in both aerial and ground operations, ensuring all activities are conducted safely and effectively.

Conduct and supervise advanced tree climbing and aerial rigging tasks using specialized equipment such as winches, tractor-mounted chippers, log forwarders, and mobile elevated work platforms.
Operate and maintain forestry machinery to ensure optimal performance.
Uphold safety standards and manage public interactions.
Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure operational readiness.

Qualifications:
C&G Level 2 in Tree Climbing and Aerial Rescue
C&G NPTC Level 3 in Aerial Tree Rigging
NPTC 202 (Formerly CS31) for Felling Small Trees Up to 380mm
NPTC 304 (Formerly CS32) for Tree Felling over 380mm
C&G Certification for Chainsaw Use from Rope and Harness
NPTC 201/202 for Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting & Felling Small Trees (Formerly CS30/31)
CS39 Level 2 in Chainsaw and Related Operations
Woodchipper Operation Certification
MEWP Ticket (preferred but not mandatory)
Aerial Rescue First Aid Trauma Certificate (preferred but not mandatory)
Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, risk assessment, and tree safety practices.
