**About the Role**
TVS Supply Chain Solutions UK & Europe is seeking an experienced and well-rounded Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for growing profit for the business, obtaining new business opportunities, and selling our class-leading supply chain capabilities to the Defence sector.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy targeting Defence Prime contractors to drive revenue growth for the company.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within Defence Prime contractors to promote our high-quality service.
- Collaborate with the Business Solutions and Implementation team on Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
- Coordinate and present proposals to prospective clients and lead the full sales process.
- Work closely with the implementation and operational teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new customers.
- Perform market analyses, seeking out trends and reviewing customer needs, to identify new opportunities and drive business growth.
- Accurately record sales activities and customer interactions to the CRM system.
- Provide regular and detailed reporting to Directors.
- Attend industry events to build the company presence and stay up to date on industry trends.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in Defence Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- Prior experience in a Solution Design function or similar.
- Experience of facilitating customer-facing workshops.
- Clear and confident communicator and strong language skills with the ability to explain scenarios in a way that is easily understood by users of all levels.
- Ability to establish and meet deadlines and commitments in a high-pressure environment – working closely with wider-business SMEs.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be confident in presenting to new clients, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external parties.
- Be strategic, forward thinking, able to negotiate and converse confidently at any level.
